Oil–Land Integration and Innovative Development: Shandong Weima New Product Matching and Exchange Conference Held in Shandong

On February 23, the Oil–Local Integration Innovation Development and Shandong Weima New Product Matching and Exchange Conference was held at Shandong Weima. The event was co-hosted by the Dongying Municipal Office for Oil–Local Integration Development and the Oil–Local Integration Department of Shengli Oilfield. Attendees at the symposium included Li Xiaoming, Chief Expert in Equipment Management at Shengli Engineering Company; Dou Gang, Deputy General Manager of Shengli Engineering’s Downhole Operations Company; Fang Wei, Manager of the Downhole Materials Management Center; Xue Qiang, Deputy Manager of the Downhole Operations Company’s Fracturing Technology Center; Yang Liqiang, Chief Well-Control Expert at Shengli Engineering’s Tubing Technology Service Center; and Zhang Tiejun, an expert at the Drilling Tools Technology Service Center.

Gai Shuanghe, Deputy Director of the Office for Integrated Development among Oil Companies, Local Authorities, and Universities in Dongying City, chaired the meeting. Dong Peng, Deputy General Manager of the Department for Integrated Development between Oil Companies and Local Authorities under the Shengli Petroleum Administration Bureau, attended the symposium. Also in attendance were Wang Jian, General Manager of Dongying Economic Development Zone Dongkai High-end Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park Co., Ltd.; Zhang Chuanfang, Chairman of Shandong Weima Equipment Technology Co., Ltd.; Zhao Xiangkun, Executive Director; Xu Xinbo, General Manager; Zhou Guobin, Deputy General Manager; as well as heads of relevant business units and engineering and technical experts who accompanied the discussion.

Prior to the meeting, Li Xiaoming and his delegation conducted on-site inspections of Hongfeng Company’s high-end equipment, production workshops, new-product displays, pressure-testing and heat-treatment facilities, as well as Weima Drilling Tools’ production and internal-coating workshops, and commended the company’s equipment and manufacturing processes in high terms. During the symposium, Zhang Chuanfang, Chairman of Weima, delivered a welcome address, providing a detailed overview of Weima’s and its subsidiaries, including Hongfeng, future strategic plans, followed by presentations on product-market operations and in-depth exchanges with the leaders and experts in attendance.

During the symposium and exchange, Li Xiaoming and his delegation noted that this event has received high attention from the leadership of Shengli Engineering Company, which arranged for technical experts in the downhole and tooling fields to conduct on-site visits and engage in targeted exchanges. First, through in-depth inspections of the production workshops, they gained a profound appreciation that Shandong Weima (Hongfeng)’s products—covering design, manufacturing, machining, and process flows—possess distinct competitive advantages over their domestic counterparts. The fact that the supplies and components required by oilfields can now be sourced locally is a major highlight. Second, Shandong Weima (Hongfeng) continuously pursues innovation by adopting new equipment, upgrading technologies, and launching new products, thereby better meeting the needs of the oilfield market—a further significant breakthrough. Third, with a clear focus on shale oil and gas development in the oilfield sector, Shandong Weima (Hongfeng) responds swiftly to deliver drilling tools and fracturing equipment that are of high quality, superior performance, and competitively priced. These products have earned a strong reputation and positive word-of-mouth among users, receiving high recognition from customers. Moving forward, Shengli Engineering Company will thoroughly implement the decisions and arrangements made by the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, further intensify collaboration between oilfield and local enterprises, provide full support for local firms to grow stronger and larger, and make active contributions to the high-quality development of Dongying City.

During the symposium, Gai Shuanghe emphasized that today’s event had achieved its intended objectives, marking a promising starting point for the integrated development of the oil industry and the local economy. He expressed his gratitude to the leadership and experts of Shengli Engineering Company. He earnestly urged the oilfield and Shengli Engineering Company to leverage the leading and driving role of central state-owned enterprises in national economic development by further strengthening support for local enterprises in areas such as market access, technological innovation, and product R&D; by streamlining communication and collaboration channels between oilfield and local firms; and by helping local enterprises grow stronger and more competitive. At the same time, he extended his best wishes to Shandong Weima (Hongfeng), under the firm leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government, to seize this favorable opportunity presented by the integrated development of the oil industry and the local economy, enhance product quality, elevate service standards, better serve and meet the needs of oil exploration and development, and make new contributions to the high-quality development of the local economy and society.

In his address and during the symposium, Zhang Chuanfang stated that Shandong Weima (Hongfeng) will take this event as an opportunity to develop and deliver more high-end, high-quality products and services in oil and gas exploration, drilling, production, and development—covering petroleum, natural gas, shale oil, and other energy resources—and thereby make greater contributions to supporting oilfield development and construction as well as to local economic and social development.
