Zhou Guobin outlined the achievements made over the past year in Shandong Weima’s production operations and trade union work, and shared the company’s experiences and practices in advancing democratic management, organizing vocational skills competitions, and strengthening the construction of the Employees’ Home. He expressed sincere gratitude to the Trade Union Working Committee of the Development Zone for its support and assistance in areas such as providing subsidies to employees facing difficulties and facilitating nearby school enrollment for employees’ children. At the same time, he put forward opinions and suggestions regarding labor arbitration cases involving enterprise employees and the challenges enterprises face in recruiting and retaining workers. During the symposium, Minister Yu Yuan pointed out that in recent years, the Shandong Weima Trade Union has closely aligned itself with the central tasks and served the overall situation, continuously promoting democratic management within the enterprise and thereby providing organizational guarantees for the company’s sustained and steady development. Moving forward, the Trade Union Working Committee of the Development Zone will further strengthen communication and coordination with enterprise trade unions, gain a deeper understanding of the practical difficulties and operational needs faced by private enterprises, and fully leverage the Working Committee’s role as a bridge and link between functional departments and enterprises. By identifying common ground and creating new highlights in assisting enterprises to resolve and reduce employee labor disputes and address recruitment challenges, the Committee aims to establish model demonstration sites. In addition, the Committee urged enterprises to organize a variety of activities, such as labor competitions and skills contests, to foster a production and work environment characterized by emulation, learning, and striving for excellence. It also emphasized the need to keep enterprise development at the core, firmly uphold the principle of mass participation, and enhance self-improvement through higher aspirations, stricter standards, and superior quality, so as to continually open up new prospects for trade union work in private enterprises.
